The objective of this department is to conduct and publish high-quality corporate governance (CG) research that promotes effective governance practices, improves the performance of boards of directors, strengthens trust in capital markets, creates sustainable value for all stakeholders, and provides training for graduate and undergraduate students. Additionally, the department seeks to identify challenges in corporate governance and develop solutions and policy recommendations to address these issues.

To achieve these objectives, the research department is responsible for the following:

  • Developing a comprehensive research program
  • Encouraging and funding research projects in corporate governance, financial accounting, financial reporting, and disclosure, which contribute to the advancement of sound governance practices and social responsibility.
  • Strengthening the role of financial reporting and corporate governance in the development and maturation of capital markets.
  • Organizing conferences and symposiums on CG and financial reporting and disclosure.
